We are recruiting a Senior Generative AI Engineer on behalf of a leading organisation undertaking a multi-year AI transformation. This role focuses on the hands-on design and development of generative AI systems, contributing to an internal AI platform built on enterprise GPT, frontier models, and agentic workflows. You will work close to production systems, translating research and experimentation into reliable, scalable AI capabilities used across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build generative AI solutions using frontier LLMs and enterprise GPT platforms
- Develop agentic workflows, custom GPTs, and reusable prompt libraries
- Contribute to the evolution of an internal AI platform and tooling
- Evaluate and benchmark frontier and specialised models for different use cases
- Translate research concepts into production-ready AI systems
- Implement quality standards, testing, and evaluation for AI outputs
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product teams, and AI leadership
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with frontier LLMs and generative AI systems
- Deep understanding of agentic workflows, prompt engineering, and model behaviour
- Production-level coding experience (Python and/or similar)
- Experience building, scaling, or operating AI systems in real-world environments
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to shared technical direction
