This is a senior, revenue-generating role within a high-growth, PE-backed technology business operating across the global financial markets. The platform is trusted in mission-critical trading and regulated environments, used by Tier-1 institutions where performance, resilience and uptime are non-negotiable. Following sustained growth, product expansion and recent acquisitions, the business is investing further in its UK Financial Services sales team.
This role combines account ownership, expansion and new revenue creation. It suits someone who enjoys selling! You’re not boxed into renewals, but running complex, high-value sales cycles with technical buyers.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of a defined Financial Services account set while also driving net-new growth across the UK market. This is a true hunter-farmer hybrid role:
- Expanding revenue within existing enterprise customers
- Introducing new products and use cases into live environments
- Creating new opportunities beyond the existing account base
Deal sizes are meaningful and strategic:
- £100k+ minimum
- £500k average
- £1m–£4m+ enterprise transactions
Sales cycles range from fast-moving expansion deals through to 9–12-month new-logo pursuits.
You’ll be supported by:
- Dedicated UK-focused BDRs
- A high-calibre pre-sales function (ex-buy-side / ex-bank technologists)
- Active marketing and campaign support
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning and growing a portfolio of Financial Services accounts
- Identifying expansion opportunities across new products, platforms and use cases
- Managing end-to-end enterprise sales cycles: discovery → value positioning → pitch → close
- Selling into technical decision-makers (platform, infrastructure, capacity, resilience, AI and service delivery leaders)
- Leading structured evaluations and PoCs with clear success criteria
- Running high-quality presentations and sales pitches at senior level
- Accurately forecasting pipeline and revenue
What They’re Looking For
- A strong track record selling complex enterprise software into Financial Services
- Experience selling to technical buyers, not just commercial stakeholders
- Curiosity and intelligence around modern infrastructure, observability, AI and platform evolution
- A commission-motivated mindset (current earnings and performance matter here)
- Confident, sharp presentation skills developed in fast-paced tech environments
- Fintech, infrastructure, observability or adjacent platform experience is preferred over traditional data or information sales backgrounds.
Culture & Environment
- High-performance but adult environment
- Salespeople are trusted to sell, not micromanaged
- Strong internal standards - including aptitude and capability testing
- Clear differentiation between real sellers and order-takers
- Opportunity to work on genuine, market-leading AI and observability use cases
Package
- Six-figure base salary (above typical market medians)
- 100% uncapped commission on top
- Comprehensive benefits including health cover, pension, flexible working and enhanced leave
