Harrington Starr has partnered with an award-winning fintech company seeking a Director of Technology to lead and scale its technology function. This is a rare opportunity to join a high-growth SaaS business at a pivotal stage of its journey. Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in shaping technology strategy, driving platform scalability, and building high-performing engineering teams while helping define the future direction of the business.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading software engineering, data engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps functions
  • Defining and executing the technology strategy in line with business objectives
  • Driving the delivery of a secure, scalable, and resilient SaaS platform
  • Partnering with product and business leaders to prioritise technical delivery and platform evolution
  • Overseeing engineering standards, release management, platform reliability, and operational excellence
  • Supporting architecture decisions to ensure long-term scalability and performance
  • Building, mentoring, and developing high-performing technology teams
  • Managing technical risk, security, governance, and operational resilience
  • Contributing to company strategy, budgeting, resource planning, and organisational growth
  • Identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience leading technology teams within SaaS, fintech, payments, or other high-growth technology environments
  • A strong track record of delivering scalable platforms and reliable production systems
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, infrastructure, data, and DevOps
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture, engineering governance, deployment pipelines, and modern software delivery practices
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical leadership
  • Strong commercial awareness and experience aligning technology outcomes with business goals
  • A practical, delivery-focused mindset with a passion for building high-performing teams
