Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced .NET Developer to join our Business Intelligence IT team. You will develop and support SMBC BI business applications using C# and MS .NET Framework, working across SQL Server and Oracle databases. This role involves both new development and maintenance of existing applications, ensuring stability and compliance with change management procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C#/.NET applications for BI systems.
- Analyse business requirements and design technical solutions.
- Write and optimise T-SQL and PL/SQL scripts for data analysis.
- Collaborate with DBAs and infrastructure teams in London and New York.
- Support production environments, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes.
- Assist with Citrix and application server deployments for web and Windows apps.
- Follow change management and release processes.
- Provide occasional out-of-hours support for critical systems.
Essential Skills
- Strong experience with C# and .NET Framework (Windows and Web apps).
- Proficient in SQL Server (T-SQL) and Oracle (PL/SQL).
- Knowledge of application deployment and environment maintenance.
- Experience in unit testing, QA, and documentation.
- Ability to troubleshoot across servers, databases, and distributed environments.
Desirable
- Financial services or enterprise BI experience.
- Familiarity with Citrix, disaster recovery environments, and version upgrades.
