Inside IR35
6-Month Contract + Extensions
A major global banking organisation is expanding its data engineering capability and requires a senior Technical Delivery Lead to drive the successful delivery of strategic data platform initiatives.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading from the front—combining technical leadership, operational delivery and hands-on engineering expertise within complex enterprise environments.
You'll own the delivery of critical data engineering programmes while actively contributing to design, development and technical decision-making across the platform.

- Driving successful execution across timelines, quality and business objectives
- Designing and building scalable data solutions using Python, Spark and Databricks
- Providing architecture leadership across Lakehouse and data platform initiatives
- Managing technical risks, dependencies and delivery challenges
- Working directly with business stakeholders, architects and leadership teams
- Mentoring engineers and driving a culture of engineering excellence
- Establishing best practice across CI/CD, governance, monitoring and platform reliability
- Remaining hands-on with development and technical problem solving (30–50% of your time)
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years within data or software engineering
- Experience leading complex data engineering programmes
- Advanced Databricks expertise
- Strong data architecture and Lakehouse design knowledge
- Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability
