A fast-growing UK fintech lender is looking for a Credit Analyst to join its Risk & Underwriting team.
What You'll Do
- Independently manage end-to-end credit assessments with strong commercial judgement.
- Analyse financial statements, borrower performance and credit risk.
- Help design and improve underwriting tools, processes, models and controls.
- Monitor the existing portfolio and identify early warning indicators.
- Work with Data and Engineering to automate manual credit checks and improve risk models.
- Contribute to credit policy, risk monitoring and portfolio reporting.
- Work cross-functionally to continuously improve the lending journey.
- Take genuine ownership in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
What We’re Looking For
- 2 plus years underwriting experience, ideally within banking, fintech, SME lending or a similar environment.
- Strong understanding of credit risk, financial statements and underwriting methodologies.
- Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail.
- Highly autonomous and comfortable making decisions independently.
- A genuine interest in data, technology and improving processes.
Nice to Have
- Experience using SQL, Excel or other analytical tools.
- Experience with credit policy, scorecards or risk monitoring frameworks.
- Experience working alongside Data, Product or Engineering teams.
