A high-growth financial technology firm is expanding its London commercial team and is hiring a senior enterprise sales professional to lead new logo acquisition across capital markets. The business builds a modern, low-code software platform used by banks and investment firms to design and deploy mission-critical trading, risk and middle-office applications at speed. It combines off-the-shelf capability with deep customisation, enabling institutions to modernise complex workflows without the cost and drag of traditional development models.
This is a newly created role, driven by sustained enterprise demand and a renewed growth push under founder-led leadership.
The Role
This position is focused squarely on winning new institutional clients across the buy-side and sell-side. You will run full, end-to-end sales cycles for complex software engagements, selling into senior stakeholders across technology, trading, operations and transformation. There is no inherited patch to manage - success in this role is driven by your network, your credibility in capital markets, and your ability to open doors and close sophisticated deals.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Originate and close new enterprise software opportunities with banks, asset managers, hedge funds and broker-dealers
- Build senior, trusted relationships with decision-makers across front office, technology and operations
- Lead consultative, value-based sales conversations around trading workflows, data, risk and regulatory change
- Own the full sales lifecycle from first meeting through to contract signature
- Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes with confidence
- Collaborate closely with sales engineering and product teams to shape tailored solutions
- Maintain clear pipeline visibility, forecasting accuracy and commercial discipline
- Deal sizes range from c. £200k to £5m+
What They’re Looking For
- At least 10 years’ experience selling enterprise software or fintech solutions
- Capital markets experience is non-negotiable
- Proven sales into buy-side and/or sell-side institutions
- Comfortable speaking the language of FX, trading systems and market infrastructure
- Demonstrated success as a new-logo hunter, not an account caretaker
- Strong, current institutional network you can activate immediately
- Track record of closing complex, consultative deals with senior stakeholders
- Experience selling platforms such as trading systems, market data, risk, compliance or transformation technology
- London-based, with willingness to travel for client meetings
Commercials & Benefits
- Base salary benchmarked around £130k (flexible for standout candidates)
- Uncapped commission structure with meaningful upside
- Realistic £1m–£1.5m+ annual sales targets
- Long-term equity participation
- Hybrid working model (minimum 3 days per week in London office)
- Private medical cover
- Training and professional development allowance
- Annual wellbeing allowance
- Home-office setup support
- Generous holiday allowance plus additional paid time off
Why This Role
- Brand-new, visible sales seat with genuine autonomy
- Enterprise-grade product already trusted by major institutions
- Strong executive backing and investment in sales enablement
- Clear runway for earnings, influence and long-term upside
