You’ll be joining as a Senior, hands-on Cloud & Information Security Engineer for an urgent contract engagement to take ownership of cloud security and technical information security in a regulated environment. This is a delivery-first role, not advisory.
You’ll be responsible for designing, implementing and operating secure cloud infrastructure and security controls that will stand up to audit and regulatory scrutiny, with clear handover at the end of the engagement.
What you’ll deliver:
- Ownership of day-to-day technical information security controls
- Secure cloud infrastructure design and build (AWS preferred) using security-by-design
- IAM enforcement (least privilege, MFA, segregation of duties)
- Centralised security logging, monitoring, alerting and vulnerability management
- Infrastructure-as-Code, configuration management and automation
- Secure networking, encryption, backup and resilience
- Technical leadership of pen testing, vulnerability scans and remediation
- Support CI/CD pipelines and secure change management
- Produce clear technical documentation and audit-ready evidence
- Act as technical lead during security incidents
What we’re looking for:
- 5–8+ years hands-on cloud engineering & information security experience
- Strong AWS or Azure experience (one primary cloud, end-to-end ownership)
- Deep IAM, networking and cloud security implementation experience
- Infrastructure-as-Code and automation mindset
- Practical application of ISO 27001 / NIST
- Experience operating in regulated or audit-driven environments
- Comfortable working independently and delivering at pace
- Security or cloud certifications are beneficial, but not essential
