Join a globally respected investment platform at the forefront of applying AI to complex, real-world decision making. We’re seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and deploy production-grade LLM systems that directly enhance how investment and operational teams access, analyse, and act on information at scale. This is a highly hands-on greenfield opportunity for an engineer who has moved beyond experimentation and shipped robust AI products into live environments. You’ll play a key role in building a brand-new AI platform from the ground up, architecting and owning end-to-end retrieval and agentic systems across large volumes of unstructured data. The work combines modern LLMs, vector search, graph-based reasoning, and scalable backend services within a highly technical, fast-moving environment.
Key areas of focus include:
- Building production-grade RAG pipelines across complex unstructured datasets
- Designing multi-agent AI systems and orchestration workflows
- Developing scalable backend services and APIs using Python
- Working with vector databases, semantic search, and graph-based architectures
- Deploying reliable LLM applications with a strong focus on evaluation, performance, and guardrails
- Owning projects end-to-end — from architecture and prototyping through to production deployment
The ideal candidate will bring deep experience building and shipping AI products in production environments, strong software engineering fundamentals, and a pragmatic approach to modern AI tooling. Experience within investing, financial services, or other research-intensive environments is highly advantageous. This is an opportunity to join a technically ambitious organisation with significant autonomy, direct exposure to senior decision-makers, and the ability to shape AI capabilities from the ground up.
