I’m working with a fast-growing SaaS company that’s using artificial intelligence to transform how property management operates across the UK. Their platform automates complex admin and compliance workflows, allowing property managers to save time, reduce costs and deliver a better experience for tenants. They’re now looking for a VP of Engineering to take ownership of the technical direction and lead a talented team of engineers as the business scales. This is a hands-on leadership role — ideal for someone who enjoys writing code, making architectural decisions and helping engineers grow, while also contributing to broader product and strategy discussions.
The Role
- Lead the design and development of the company’s AI-powered property management platform
- Stay close to the code — writing, reviewing and optimising where needed
- Manage and mentor engineers, fostering a high-performing, collaborative culture
- Work closely with product and design to deliver features quickly and effectively
- Drive innovation in AI, automation, scalability and system performance
- Ensure technical excellence, reliability and best practices across the platform
- Contribute to long-term planning, architecture and technical strategy
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of software engineering experience, ideally within AI, SaaS or automation platforms
- Strong technical background with Python, Node.js, cloud infrastructure and AI/ML integration
- Previous experience in a lead or management role within a startup or high-growth tech environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong technical mindset
- Someone who’s as comfortable leading people as they are writing code and solving complex problems
What’s on Offer
- The chance to shape the engineering culture and technical direction from the ground up
- Competitive salary with meaningful equity — share in the company’s success
- Work with a passionate founding team solving real-world challenges through technology
- A fast-paced, collaborative and innovative environment
- Based in London — 5 days a week in the office to keep ideas and progress moving quickly
If you’re a hands-on technical leader who wants to build, scale and shape an exciting AI-driven product, this is a rare opportunity to make a real impact from the inside.
