The Role

We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to drive growth across the Southern territory. This is a field-based role focused on developing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers. You will work closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, technical support, and R&D to deliver a high level of service and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and manage the full sales cycle
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key accounts
  • Conduct regular site visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions
  • Manage and update customer information using CRM systems
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, seminars, and industry events
  • Support marketing initiatives and provide insights on market trends and competitor activity

Regular travel across the territory is required, including occasional overnight stays.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Knowledge
  • Experience working with customers in areas such as organic, medicinal, process, or scale-up chemistry
  • Familiarity with sectors including pharmaceuticals, CROs, biotech, and research organisations
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong technical understanding of laboratory equipment used in chemical processes
  • Degree (BSc or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Based between Oxford and Dartford with willingness to travel across the Southern territory.
Skills & Attributes
  • Highly motivated, organised, and results-driven
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Good IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Full UK driving licence
