The Role
We are looking for a Technical Sales Specialist to drive growth across the Southern territory. This is a field-based role focused on developing new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers. You will work closely with internal teams including sales, marketing, technical support, and R&D to deliver a high level of service and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and manage the full sales cycle
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key accounts
- Conduct regular site visits, product demonstrations, and training sessions
- Manage and update customer information using CRM systems
- Represent the company at exhibitions, seminars, and industry events
- Support marketing initiatives and provide insights on market trends and competitor activity
Regular travel across the territory is required, including occasional overnight stays.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Knowledge
- Experience working with customers in areas such as organic, medicinal, process, or scale-up chemistry
- Familiarity with sectors including pharmaceuticals, CROs, biotech, and research organisations
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
- Strong technical understanding of laboratory equipment used in chemical processes
- Degree (BSc or higher) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Based between Oxford and Dartford with willingness to travel across the Southern territory.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good IT skills, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office
