An established and growing life sciences services and CDMO organisation is seeking a Regional Sales Manager to drive new business acquisition and develop customer relationships within an assigned territory (currently flexible/unassigned). The company provides solutions to diagnostic, biotech, and research clients, operating from accredited, purpose-built laboratories in the UK, with relevant ISO and FDA credentials.

As the business continues to strengthen its commercial footprint, this role will report directly to the Head of Sales and will play a key part in executing the wider commercial strategy through consistent, high-quality business development activity. This is a hands-on sales role with a strong emphasis on winning new customers, managing complex service-led sales cycles, and representing the organisation credibly to senior scientific and commercial stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and New Business Development
    • Drive new business acquisition across the assigned territory, targeting research-focused organisations, early-stage assay developers, and biotech companies preparing for scale-up.
    • Identify, qualify, and progress new opportunities through a consultative, services-led sales process.
    • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through to contract close.
    • Build and maintain a robust pipeline, providing accurate forecasting and activity reporting.
    • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs and position the company's services accordingly.
  • Account Development and Relationship Management
    • Develop long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
    • Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through additional services or new projects.
    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing customer satisfaction.
  • Collaboration and Internal Engagement
    • Work closely with the Head of Sales to execute the regional sales strategy.
    • Collaborate with marketing and customer engagement teams to support lead generation and customer communication.
    • Provide market and customer feedback to inform commercial and service development.
The Ideal Profile
  • Experience selling services to research-led or early-stage life sciences organisations, where needs are complex and evolving.
  • Demonstrable success in new business development and pipeline generation.
  • Experience managing complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Background selling into biotech, pharma, academic, or related life sciences environments.
  • Commercially astute, credible with scientific customers, and comfortable selling intangible, outcome-based services.
  • Highly organised with strong forecasting and pipeline management discipline.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable working autonomously within a broader sales structure.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory.
Why Join
  • Opportunity to join a growing life sciences services organisation with a strong reputation for quality and reliability.
  • Clear reporting line into an experienced sales leader with scope for development and progression.

  • Collaborative environment with close interaction across commercial and operational teams.

Package: Competitive and negotiable.
