A growing organisation in the life sciences sector is seeking a driven and knowledgeable Sales Representative to support the promotion and sale of liquid handling consumables and related services. This role involves working closely with research institutions, universities, healthcare organisations, and industrial laboratories. The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for customers, providing tailored solutions to meet their scientific and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients within scientific and laboratory environments.
- Identify customer requirements and recommend appropriate products, services, and solutions.
- Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and training sessions.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets within an assigned territory.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and performance reports.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and new product developments.
- Collaborate with technical and customer support teams to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
This role reports to the Country Sales Manager and works closely with customers, applications specialists, and product management teams.
Requirements
- Proven sales experience within the laboratory, scientific, or medical equipment sector (minimum 3–5 years).
- Solid understanding of laboratory workflows, equipment, and consumables.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritise tasks.
- Degree in a scientific discipline (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry) preferred.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.
