Job Description

As a Dental Assessor, you will play a key role in supporting and developing the next generation of dental professionals. You will manage a caseload of apprentices enrolled on the Level 3 Dental Nursing Apprenticeship, providing guidance, assessment, and support throughout their learning journey.\\nThis role requires exceptional organisational and communication skills, proficiency in IT, and a genuine passion for education and learner success.\\nKey Responsibilities\\n * Support apprentices and employers throughout the apprenticeship journey\\n * Maintain regular communication with apprentices and employers via phone and email\\n * Plan, prepare, and carry out workplace observations in dental practice settings\\n * Provide constructive feedback using various methods — written reports, verbal feedback, and coaching sessions\\n * Mark and assess apprentice work promptly in line with weekly submission deadlines\\n * Conduct progress reviews with apprentices and employers every 10–12 weeks\\n * Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of apprentice progress and assessment outcomes\\n * Promote high standards of learning, professionalism, and achievement\\nRequirements\\n * Qualified Dental Nurse with active GDC registration\\n * Experience working within a dental practice environment\\n * Hold a CAVA / Assessor qualification (or equivalent)\\n * Strong communication and interpersonal skills\\n * Excellent organisational and time management skills\\n * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team\\n * Competent in using IT systems and digital platforms\\n * Ability to apply a range of assessment methods effectively\\nBenefits\\n * Competitive salary package\\n * Opportunities for ongoing professional development and training\\n * Friendly and supportive working environment
