The 3 - 6 month Level 3 Award in Education and Training (formerly known as Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector – PTLLS) is an essential introduction and license for anyone who wants to work and teach in the post-16 education sectors.

It is an entry qualification following industry standards, which is ideal for those who have no previous teaching experience or qualifications. The course is also relevant for those already working in the education sector, who would like to gain an officially recognised qualification.

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training qualification has no minimum teaching practice requirement, meaning individuals not in a teaching role can undertake this qualification; however, there is a minimum requirement to participate in microteaching.
