We are looking for a People Adviserto join our People Team at The BoTree.
Reporting to the Head of People, this is a varied, hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of our core People processes. Our People Adviserwill provide a visible and accessible People presence for our team and managers, taking ownership of operational People activity and providing practical first-line advice on straightforward employee matters.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Coordinating People processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment changes, Right to Work and leavers.
- Providing day-to-day People support and guidance to team members and Heads of Department.
- Supporting straightforward employee matters and providing administrative support across disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Monitoring absence and wellbeing activity and supporting appropriate follow-up.
- Coordinating learning and development activity and monitoring mandatory training compliance.
- Supporting team engagement and recognition activity.
- Maintaining accurate People records, reporting and administration and ensuring agreed actions are followed through.
About You
You may currently be an HR Administrator, People Coordinator, People Adviser or in a similar role and be ready to take ownership of a broader range of day-to-day People activity.
We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience within a People/HR environment.
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle processes and working with an HR system.
- A good understanding of People/HR processes and an awareness of UK employment legislation.
- Strong organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail.
- Clear and professional communication skills and the confidence to support managers and team members.
- A professional, approachable and discreet manner with sound judgement when handling sensitive information.
- The confidence to provide straightforward People advice and recognise when a matter requires escalation.
A CIPD Level 3 qualification, or working towards one, would be advantageous, as would experience within hospitality or another fast-paced operational environment.
