We are currently expanding our Groups and Events Team and are recruiting for an Events and Groups Planning Manager for the iconic May Fair Hotel.

Overview:

  • As Events & Groups Planning Manager, you will be responsible for the successful event planning and overall execution of all Groups, Meetings and Events that take place within the hotel.
  • The Events and Groups Planning Manager will interact frequently with customers and guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships from which to earn repeat and expanded business.
  • The role involves managing and delivering the final details for our client’s events at The May Fair Hotel from handover stage.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining effective and appropriate liaison with our clients throughout the planning process, coordinating and planning site inspections and menu tastings where appropriate.
  • Upselling opportunities such as but not limited to: Food, Drinks, Event space, accommodation etc.
  • You will be responsible for meeting and greeting all key clients upon arrival for their event.
  • Attend/manage weekly events meeting with F&B and Operations teams based on events for the week ahead.

About You:

  • In depth knowledge of Events and Groups Planning within a multi-million-pound meetings and events revenue generating and a 5 Star hotel operation.
  • Proven organizational skills, independent and excellent stress management. Able to set and meet deadlines with quality results.
  • Proficient in IT applications including Opera, Delphi, and Salesforce.
  • Excellent Sales and Negotiation skills.
  • Confident and have the ability to build new strong relationships and pro-actively nurture legacy relationships.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent grooming standards.
