We are currently looking for apassionate Commis1 , to join our Kitchen Department on a permanent basis , with an immediate startto consistently deliver memorable moments and five star service to our guestsand each other. It is important to us that everyone in the team brings positiveenergy to support our happy and fun environment, as we strive to build acommunity of diverse backgrounds and life experiences, where we care aboutcareers and not just jobs.
As a Commis 1 , your main duties andexpectations for the role will include:
- To work as an individual and aspart of a team by assisting in the preparation of mise-en-place and service forthe section / department.
- To take ownership and check miseen place levels and quality for the section. Complete a mise en place list inorder of priority and liaise with your supervisor prior to commencing thetasks.
- To cook and present food to thecorrect standard as outlined in the outlet specification manual and as perstandards recommended by Leading Hotels of The World.
- To take ownership on correctportion control and that wastage is kept to a minimum and to ensure thatcorrect stock rotation is evident within the section
- To provide a quick and efficientservice at all times.
- To pro-actively attend themorning meeting in Executive chef’s office and communicate key information atthe daily section briefing.
- To take ownership for kitchencleanliness at all times. To take care of your uniform, your personalappearance and hygiene in accordance with hotel policy and procedure
You will be required to work such hours as are necessary tofulfil their duties and in any event not less than hours.
