SENIOR SOUS CHEF WANTED - SANREMO, BATH
Up to £40,000 per year, depending on experience | Full-Time
Sanremo, an Italian restaurant in the heart of Bath, is looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team.
We’re looking for a talented chef with strong leadership skills, a passion for Italian cuisine and the ability to deliver consistently high standards in a busy restaurant environment.
THE ROLE
- Work closely with the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
- Lead and motivate the kitchen team during busy services
- Take responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
- Maintain excellent standards of food quality, consistency and presentation
- Support the preparation and delivery of our Italian menu
- Assist with menu development and seasonal dishes
- Manage ordering, stock control, food costs and waste
- Support training and development of the kitchen team
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Ensure smooth and efficient kitchen operations throughout service
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Previous Senior Sous Chef experience or a strong Sous Chef ready to progress
- Experience with Italian cuisine is highly desirable
- Strong culinary and kitchen management skills
- Confident leadership and excellent communication
- Good understanding of food costs and stock management
- Ability to perform calmly and efficiently during busy services
- Excellent attention to detail and presentation
- Professional, reliable and hands-on approach
