Main Objectives

  • Assist the commercial team in procurement administration.
  • Subcontract on-boarding and management.
  • Assist the QS in monthly sub-contract payments and issuing sub-contract orders.
  • Raise customer care orders on behalf of the customer care department.
  • Assist the Buyer with small purchase ordering.
  • Assist in collation of waste management reporting.
  • Monitor & maintain subcontractor insurance & H&S Accreditation.
  • General minute taking.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Quantity Surveyor in the Procurement of Subcontractors, including internal circulation of Tender lists and monitoring of Tender returns.
  • On-boarding of sub-contractors including obtaining CIS, Bank Details, Insurances and H&S information.
  • Assist the QS in the collation of Tender returns and production of documentation that form subcontract orders.
  • Assist Customer Care and Sales and Marketing Departments with raising orders on behalf of the site QS.
  • Assist the Buyer with small purchase orders and Tendering of material packages.

Health, Safety and Environment

  • Assist Surveyors in obtaining Risk and Method Statements (RAMS) for all subcontractors and issuing these to the Site Management team.
  • Ensure insurances and health and safety accreditations for all subcontractors remain current.
  • Maintain regular communications with Site Management, Sales Teams, and internal departments.
  • Attend and support meetings including: Commercial Team Meetings, Project Team Meetings, Sub-contractors Pre-Start meetings, and Monthly CVR reviews.

Qualifications and skills

  • Required: Previous experience within a Commercial Team.
  • Must be IT literate beyond the use of emails and/or MS Office.
  • Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  • Desired Knowledge (Beneficial):
  • Mac OS operating system.
  • Microsoft Office Suite – In Particular Excel.
  • Eque 2 Cost Management (Housebuilder) / Transition to Coins June 2026.
