Join us for our virtual insight days on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th of August 2026. This two-day programme offers an exceptional opportunity for individuals interested in exploring the various functions within HarperCollins UK. Aimed at those aged 16+, our programme is the perfect opportunity to dive into the publishing industry.

From 10 am - 4 pm each day, participants will engage in 30-minute to 1-hour sessions with different departments, including Design, Marketing, Editorial, and Publicity, which will provide an overview and the day-to-day responsibilities of working in these departments. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the relevant teams.

Requirements:

  • Access to a computer or laptop with a reliable internet connection
  • A distraction free, quiet and comfortable working environment suitable for remote participation
  • A genuine interest in publishing and the various roles within the industry

At HarperCollins, we are always looking for new ideas and to hear from diverse voices, just like those featured in the books we publish. We encourage individuals from lower socio-economic backgrounds or ethnic minority communities to express their interest.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • 16+
  • Pre-existing right to work in the UK
  • No prior experience working in the Publishing Industry
  • Hasn't previously attended a similar publishing insights programme

Due to limited availability, participants will be selected at random based on their interests, availability and eligibility. If you are not selected this time, we encourage you to apply for future programmes or roles within HarperCollins UK. Please note, the questions in our application form regarding salary expectations and notice periods are required fields, but your answers will not affect your selection. You will be contacted by Friday 14th August if you have secured a place on this programme.
