£35,000 - £40,000 Nottingham – onsite Monday – Friday 8.30-4.40 Harper Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a highly reputable organisation based in Nottingham. We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our client's HR team. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for providing a consistent high-quality service across the whole organisation, supporting staff and managers in all aspects of HR. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with employment legislation, maintaining accurate HR records, and delivering an exceptional employee experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a range of employee relations cases, including absence management, flexible working requests, disciplinary matters, grievances, and probation reviews.
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers, helping them build confidence in managing people issues effectively.
  • Review and update HR policies, ensuring they remain compliant with current employment legislation and best practice.
  • Support employee engagement and recognition initiatives, including the coordination and analysis of the annual staff survey.
  • Oversee the administration and communication of employee benefits.
  • Support recruitment and selection activities as required.
  • Ensure HR communications are clear, timely, and tailored to the appropriate audience.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.
  • Produce HR reports and management information to identify trends and support informed decision-making.
  • Liaise with payroll to ensure all employee changes are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Stay up to date with developments in employment law and HR best practice.

What we’re looking for:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent).
  • Significant experience managing a broad range of employee relations cases.
  • Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor or HR Generalist position.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, organised, and customer-focused approach.
