Harper Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a well established organisation within the mechanical and building services sector. They are looking for an experienced, organised and technically strong Mechanical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of multiple mechanical services projects across the region.
This role combines hands on project coordination, technical oversight and team leadership, offering a varied and fast paced working environment. The successful Mechanical Project Manager will take ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring safe, compliant and commercially successful delivery. You will enjoy working collaboratively with stakeholders, leading site teams, and maintaining high standards of quality, safety and communication throughout each project.
What will the role involve?
- Planning and delivering mechanical services projects in line with specifications, budgets and timelines
- Developing project schedules, resource plans and procurement requirements
- Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies
- Overseeing installation of HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems
- Carrying out site inspections, QA checks and ensuring full H&S compliance
- Preparing progress reports, technical submissions and project documentation
- Managing project budgets and identifying cost saving opportunities
- Leading supervisors, operatives and subcontractors to ensure smooth delivery
- Liaising with stakeholders and providing regular project updates
- Troubleshooting technical issues and ensuring timely resolution
Who are we looking for?
- Experience delivering mechanical projects within building services, construction or engineering
- Strong technical understanding of HVAC, plumbing and mechanical systems
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Confident managing budgets, procurement and commercial performance
- IOSH or equivalent H&S qualification (desirable)
- Ability to lead teams and work collaboratively across multiple sites
- Proactive, solutions focused and able to manage competing priorities
- Commitment to delivering high quality, safe and compliant projects
