Role Overview:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the company. Leading a growing finance team, your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of strategic tasks, from preparing management accounts to managing forecasting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the preparation of management accounts and comprehensive board report schedules, guiding strategic decision-making processes.
- Spearhead the forecasting and budgeting initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and market dynamics.
- Oversee revenue recognition processes, supported by meticulous documentation, to maximise financial performance.
- Facilitate PE and investor reporting, fostering transparent communication and trust with stakeholders.
- Provide weekly insights into working capital, including cash flow, accrued revenue, and debtors, to maintain financial stability.
- Manage tax obligations such as PAYE, VAT, and CT, alongside annual returns, statutory accounts preparation, and audit processes.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to refine reporting mechanisms and operational processes.
- Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence while mentoring and developing the finance team.
