Document Production Specialist (Typist)

As a Document Production Specialist at Harper Macleod you will provide a highly efficient, organised and professional service by ensuring that our legal teams are supported in their daily tasks. You will work to tight deadlines ensuring that these are met exactly.
Our Document Production team works predominantly from home however must be able to travel into offices as and when required. If it’s your preference to be fully office based, we also welcome that.
The role will include the following:
- Audio and copy typing
- Formatting documents into the firm’s own styles
- Producing and amending documents, track changes, manuscripts, comparisons, correspondence and reports.
- Producing and amending PowerPoint presentations, organisational charts, mail merges, Excel spreadsheets and graphs for all areas of the firm
- Producing electronic bundles
- Ensuring documents are produced within the required timescales
- Supporting and helping other team members by sharing system knowledge and ensuring your own and others’ skills continue to develop
Skills required:
- Accurate typing speed of at least 60 words per minute
- Advanced Microsoft Word
- Experience of formatting/amending documents preferred
- At least 2 years of experience of audio/copy typing (legal)
- Excellent attention to detail
- High standard of organisational and time management skills
- Able to work on own initiative
