To support our ambitious growth, we’re expanding our recruitment function and are searching for a Talent Acquisition Assistant to join our team. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in helping us attract and identify top talent and support our recruitment operations through candidate sourcing and administrative duties.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with up to 12 months of experience in a resourcing or recruitment support role, or for someone eager to launch their career in recruitment and gain hands-on experience within a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.

Harper James is a full-service commercial law firm with a unique subscription-based model for ambitious SMEs. We’ve grown rapidly and recently secured private-equity backing from LDC to fuel our next phase of expansion, including through strategic M&A. We’re a remote-first, no-ego team of over 150 people.
What We’re Looking For
Reporting to our Head of Talent Acquisition, you’ll play an important role in our direct recruitment process. This is a busy and fast-paced position with plenty of opportunity for personal and professional growth.
Ideally, you will
- Demonstrate excellent time management and the ability to respond quickly in a competitive market
- Be adept at prioritising and managing multiple tasks, with strong organisational and communication abilities
- Be willing to learn about our unique business model, departments, and practice areas
- Confidently source candidates who meet specific criteria using LinkedIn
- Possess solid Microsoft 365 and general administrative skills
- Bring enthusiasm and professionalism to our collaborative and friendly team
Key Responsibilities
- Support the recruitment strategy and develop a strong understanding of our business and employer brand
- Conduct professional outreach and headhunting of candidates via LinkedIn
- Qualify applications by carefully screening submitted CV\’s and profiles, ensuring candidates meet the required criteria for each vacancy before progressing them in the recruitment process.
- Promote job openings across social media platforms
- Communicate feedback to candidates
- Maintain and update our Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Provide general administrative support to the recruitment team
