Role Overview
We’re seeking a dynamic and strategic Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to join our board and lead the next stage of our commercial growth. This is a pivotal leadership role in a high‑growth, PE‑backed business where sales, account management and marketing sit at the heart of our strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Unite and lead sales, account management and marketing into a single, powerful commercial strategy.
- Drive ambitious revenue and EBITDA growth.
- Play a key role in shaping the firm’s future – with equity on offer for the right candidate.
Additional Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an integrated commercial strategy across sales, account management and marketing.
- Align plans with company growth objectives and continuously refine them to maximise revenue and profitability.
- Drive innovation through creative and data‑led approaches.
- Define and own KPIs for all commercial functions.
- Implement scalable processes and automation to systemise delivery.
- Use data to analyse pipeline performance, campaign ROI, conversion rates and customer feedback.
- Monitor market trends and emerging opportunities.
- Experiment with new channels, approaches and structures.
- Challenge and evolve commercial processes to ensure they’re fit for the future.
- Build multi‑year revenue and market expansion plans.
- Strengthen and grow our subscription and recurring revenue models.
- Influence product and service development to achieve long‑term goals.
- Act as a key member of the Board and executive team.
- Partner with the CEO and C‑suite colleagues on overall company direction.
- Provide commercial insight and report on performance at board level.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10+ years in senior commercial roles (CCO, CRO, Sales or Marketing Director).
- Strong track record of driving revenue growth and profitability in scaling businesses.
- Deep understanding of outbound and inbound sales engines.
- Experience leading on the development of proactive account management strategies that build revenue and reduce churn.
- Experience building and scaling sales teams, implementing dashboards, and driving performance cultures.
Marketing & Brand Strategy Acumen
- Ability to set and oversee a marketing vision that balances brand building with performance and growth objectives at scale.
- Experience providing strategic oversight of paid digital channels, SEO, and AI/LLM optimisation to drive high‑quality lead generation.
Data‑Driven & KPI‑Focused
- Target‑driven approach, using metrics and insights to shape strategy.
- Skilled in defining, tracking and acting on commercial KPIs.
Leadership & Communication
- Inspiring and clear communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Confident presenting to boards, investors and clients.
Board‑Level Experience
- Experience operating at board or executive level.
- Strong understanding of governance, strategy and investor relations.
