On behalf of our client, Harper Finley are looking to hire an Experienced Calf Rearer to join our client's busy, long-established beef farm – part of a leading multinational farming group with operations across the UK, Ireland and Europe on a part-time basis.
You will be at the heart of the daily operation, involved in the daily care and rearing of calves, including feeding, health checks, medication, cleaning pens, and monitoring growth and wellbeing, reporting directly to the Farm Manager.
What's on offer:
- Part-Time role Friday - Sunday, 7.00am-5.30pm
- Competitive salary: £35,000 - £38,000 pro rata

What we need from you:
- Care for and rear calves to the highest welfare and production standards.
- Give vaccinations and carry out routine husbandry tasks on schedule.
- Record weights and other data accurately in farm records and software.
- Follow all health, safety, and government regulations.
- Check for and control pests and diseases.
- Keep detailed records of animal movements, treatments, and performance.
- Aim to achieve strong daily growth rates in all calves.
- Keep calf housing, feeding areas, and equipment clean and well maintained.
- Support and work with team members to ensure farm standards are met.
- Manage and monitor medicine and vaccine stock levels.
