With significant growth plans ahead, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact on the financial performance and future direction of the business.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you'll lead the finance function while becoming a key member of the senior leadership team.
This is much more than a traditional Financial Controller position, you'll be expected to provide commercial insight, challenge decisions, improve profitability and help shape the business strategy.

What you'll be doing
- Taking overall ownership of the finance function and leading the finance team.
- Producing accurate, timely management and board-level financial reporting.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, cashflow management and long-term financial planning.
- Developing meaningful management information and dashboards to provide greater insight across the business.
- Providing commercial analysis to improve profitability, margins and overall business performance.
- Supporting pricing strategies, tenders, investment decisions and new business opportunities.
- Working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team to influence strategic business decisions.
- Managing relationships with banks, auditors, external advisers and other key stakeholders.
- Driving improvements across financial processes, systems and reporting, including automation where appropriate.
- Supporting acquisitions, due diligence, funding proposals and other strategic projects.
- Developing, mentoring and growing the finance team to support the company's continued expansion.
- Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance and risk management across the business.
What you'll bring
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller, Head of Finance, Finance Manager or similar senior finance position.
- Strong experience across management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management.
- A commercially minded approach with strong business acumen and the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
- Experience developing financial reporting and using data to drive better business decisions.
- Strong leadership experience, with the ability to develop and motivate a finance team.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work closely with Directors and senior leadership.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, systems and automation.
- Most importantly, you'll be ambitious, commercially driven and motivated by the opportunity to take ownership and make a genuine difference.
