I am working with a client that is looking for a stock controller/material scheduler for a job in Caldicot.

Core Responsibilities

  • Order Management: Place and track material orders according to production schedules and inventory needs.
  • Inventory Monitoring: Regularly monitor inventory levels, minimise obsolete stocks, and reduce liability.
  • Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery timelines, and address potential delays.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records in the MRP system.
  • Problem Solving: Quickly address stock shortages, delays, and other disruptions, keeping internal teams informed.
  • Collaboration: Work with internal teams to align material schedules with business requirements.
  • Supplier Relations: Support supplier meetings, negotiations, and evaluations to ensure supplier performance aligns with business needs.
  • Process Optimisation: Identify and implement strategies to improve inventory management and optimal stock levels.
