As a part of the dairy team, you will focus on the care of the farm’s 400 Holsteins which are milked through a 40-point GEA internal rotary in accordance with best principles of milk and dairy hygiene. We are looking for motivated casual team members.
Shifts
- Mornings – 4am until 7.30am (£20.00 per hour)
- Days – 12noon until 3.30pm (£15.00 per hour)
- Nights – 8pm until 11pm (£20.00 per hour)
Duties
- Milking on one or two of the milking shifts
- Usual tasks associated with large dairy herds
- Pressure washing
- Keeping the parlour clean and maintained to a high standard
- Record keeping
Qualifications
- Previous experience in milking and working with livestock is beneficial but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
- The ability to work over the Easter period is essential for this role.
