We are looking to recruit a Security Officer to assist with maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for the University community through the protection of people, property and assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out patrols across campus and surrounding land holdings.
- Cover 24/7 shifts in a 4 on / 4 off rolling pattern (0800–2000 or 2000–0800) for 365 days a year.
- Respond to incidents and provide a safe environment.
- Attend required training courses and maintain full on-site training.
- Operate with integrity, discretion and honesty when dealing with sensitive issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Reasonable physical fitness to perform patrols.
- Experience in an education or similar environment preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Effective communication and excellent customer care skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
