We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our busy department catering for university clientele & conference delegates. To work alongside existing kitchen staff to carry out daily kitchen activities, including aiding with deliveries & goods received to distributing to various outlets. Assisting to maintain our 5-star food hygiene rating & general cleaning duties within a busy kitchen.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Deliver requisitioned goods to all catering outlets and any other university department
  • Monitor and remove recycling refuse
  • Replenish all cleaning materials and disposable protective clothing as required
  • Report any maintenance issues with the catering office to ensure that repairs are carried out as needed
  • Assist with deliveries around campus and driving University vehicles
  • Assist with the maintenance & cleaning of catering vehicles when required
  • Help with basic food preparation when requested
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed as and when required
