Key Duties

  • You will play a key role in the service of food and drink in this busy cafe.
  • Serve customers in a polite & friendly manner.
  • Ensure high quality, customer focused provision of hot and cold food and beverages.
  • Cash handling and stock security.
  • Setting up the Café offering in accordance with department standards.
  • Compliance of the Department's Food Safety System.
  • Consistently delivering a professional and efficient service to our customers.
  • Ensuring a professional and hygienic appearance.
  • Ensuring cleaning and closing procedures are carried out and documented.
  • Ensuring defects of buildings or equipment are reported in the correct manner.
  • Produce and serve Barista standard coffees and other beverages.
  • Carry out any reasonable requests from your supervisor.
  • Be prepared to help (where possible) with special events i.e. Graduation, Open Days and Royal Visits.
  • All other duties and responsibilities commensurate with the post and the salary range of the grade.
