Are you passionate about providing care and support to others? We are currently seeking a dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team to provide support during the evening. This role is ideal for someone who may only be able to work a shorter shift assisting our residents settle comfortably for the night. Hours: 24 hours per week
Pay: £13.20 per hour
Contract: Part-time/Permanent
Shift: Evenings (5pm to 11pm)
At Oakland Care, offering the highest quality care is paramount and we look after our residents' physical, psychological and social needs. We help with day-to-day personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals.
As a Care Assistant at Oakland Care, we ask you to care for our residents like they are your own family.
What you will be doing:
- Providing excellent care and support to our residents during the evening.
- Supporting residents with getting ready for bed.
- Providing companionship and emotional support.
- Helping with supper, drinks and light refreshments.
- Actively participating in various training and up-skilling sessions.
- Working closely with team members and management team.
What you need:
- A can-do attitude.
- Be a compassionate and caring person.
- Be a true team player.
- Have experience working as a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker – this is advantageous but not essential as full training is given.
- Be reliable and able to work evening hours.
