We are looking for an experienced CQC/governance and compliance consultant to support a growing private medical/aesthetics practice on a retained part‑time basis of 1-2 days per week. The role would involve weekly support to help maintain and strengthen compliance, governance systems and operational standards across the clinic.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain CQC compliance
- Review and update policies, SOPs and governance documentation
- Support audit schedules and action plans
- Monitor incident reporting, complaints and significant events
- Ensure evidence folders and compliance records remain inspection‑ready
- Assist with infection prevention & control standards
- Support staff compliance, training records and documentation
- Provide guidance on regulatory requirements and best practice
- Prepare the clinic for future CQC inspections
- Identify risks and implement practical improvements
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within private healthcare or medical clinics
- Strong understanding of CQC standards and inspection processes
- Experience supporting independent healthcare providers and/or aesthetics clinics
- Former Practice Manager, Governance Lead, Compliance Manager or ex‑CQC background preferred
- Organised, proactive and commercially aware
- Able to work collaboratively with clinical and management teams
Commitment
- Approximately 1-2 days per week (flexible)
- Mixture of on‑site and remote working considered
- Retained consultancy arrangement preferred
