This is an exciting opportunity to lead and scale the Direct‑to‑Consumer ecommerce business for a high‑growth luxury skincare and beauty tech company (experiencing YoY growth). Working closely with the Brands team and individual brand positioning and objectives, the Head of Ecommerce will own the DTC strategy and performance, with full accountability for ecommerce revenue, trading, customer acquisition, conversion and retention across a portfolio of D2C Shopify website sites. This role is highly commercial and performance‑led, combining ecommerce trading, paid media, CRO, CRM and analytics to drive profitable growth. Experience in beauty, aesthetics or wellness is beneficial but not essential.
Ecommerce & DTC Performance
- Own the end‑to‑end DTC ecommerce strategy and trading performance
- Deliver revenue, margin and growth targets across all ecommerce sites
- Lead the ecommerce trading calendar including promotions, launches and pricing
- Optimise the customer journey and online content strategy to maximise conversion rate, AOV, retention and LTV
- Ensure ecommerce platforms (Shopify) are optimised for performance and scalability
Performance Marketing & Growth
- Lead performance ecommerce activity across paid media, search, affiliates and social commerce
- Own full sales pipeline from awareness through consideration, conversion, growth and retention with appropriate strategies employed at each stage
- In conjunction with the Brand team, ensure optimised creative application and asset development
- Own CRO, UX optimisation and testing roadmaps
- Oversee SEO, AEO and onsite performance fundamentals
- Use data, insight and test‑and‑learn approaches to continuously improve results
CRM & Customer Retention
- Own Consumer CRM strategy across lifecycle, retention and re‑engagement
- Lead segmentation, automation and personalised journeys (Klaviyo or equivalent)
- Ensure optimised and effective hygiene flows to drive repeat purchase, loyalty and customer lifetime value
Analytics & Commercial Management
- Own ecommerce dashboards, forecasting and performance reporting
- Manage ecommerce and performance marketing budgets with strong ROI focus
- Use AI‑enabled tools to enhance performance insight, optimisation and efficiency
- Lead, develop and motivate an ecommerce and performance‑focused team
- Manage ecommerce, media and technology agency partners
- Work closely with Brand, Product, Operations and Finance to deliver a seamless DTC experience
Requirements
- 8+ years’ experience in ecommerce and DTC growth roles
- Proven track record of scaling performance‑led ecommerce businesses
- Strong commercial acumen with ownership of ecommerce revenue and budgets
- Deep understanding of performance marketing, CRO, CRM and analytics
- Strong working knowledge of GA4 and ecommerce analytics
- Data‑driven, results‑focused mindset
- Experience within beauty, wellness or premium / luxury consumer brands
- Experience using AI tools for ecommerce optimisation and analytics
