As we continue to deliver on our global vision and diversify our channels and proposition, this role will join the business at a progressive time of scale up and play a key role in our commercial decision-making and growth profile of the business into 2026 and beyond.
We are looking for a dynamic management accountant who has had experience in automating insight reporting, growth & efficiency project appraisals and been actively involved in IM preparation. The successful candidate will have strong communication and collaboration skills with an acute ability to drive growth whilst identifying & mitigating risk.
Key responsibilities
Reporting & Insight Management
- Working with leadership team to enhance & automate company dashboard & reporting
- Review and analyse P&L providing clear commentary and insights for maximising profitability and efficiency.
- Produce, develop, and present financial analysis and reports for both operational and strategic purposes.
- Collaborate with data teams to improve transparency and automation
- Identifying opportunities to unite teams and departments through agile reporting
Strategic Management Support
- Prepare and co-ordinate 3-year strategic plans with leadership team
- Compilation of a strategic data driven budget for 2026 & beyond
- Support with modelling, obtaining and managing finance for projects.
- Identify and assess potential financial risks and develop strategies with leadership & finance team to mitigate them.
- Suggest and implement corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls to assure performance.
- Compiling strategies that will reduce business costs.
- Model & simulate P&L’s of scale up initiatives
- Manage IM where required
- Negotiate on major projects, loans and grants
- Compile and manage tenders for new financial & business advisory services
- Forward planning of cash, forecasting and finance to support COO
- Key player & financial project lead in global growth initiatives
Essential skills & experience
- Robust professional qualifications (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum of 3 years of Management Accountant experience, commercial and strategic
- Scale up, IM and investment experience
- Expert user of XERO and NETSUITE
- Cashflow management
- Experience within fast paced environments & entrepreneurial led organisation
- Experience of international trade and accounting rules.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Solid Experience of IF, LC, Import Finance & bank financing processes & systems
Preferable/advantageous
- Experience within a distribution/manufacturing/logistics with inventory management.
- Exposure to R&D tax relief claims
- Experience of internal and external audits
- Confident & experience of ERP/system transition implementation
- Strong working knowledge of UK legal requirements in data protection (GDPR) & Corporate Governance & Legal regulatory compliance.
- Professional certification in Quality Management (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) desirable.
- Track record of achievement and entrepreneurial drive
- Experience with ISO certification processes and B-Corp certification frameworks
