Due to ongoing expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Head of People to join the Harpar Grace International team. This is a high-impact, visible leadership role where you'll set the direction for people, culture and capability management, while still staying close enough to the business to understand what really matters on the ground. This role oversees the entire HR function and ensures that accountability, satisfaction, productivity and well-being are embedded into the company’s values, policies, and daily operations. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting growth, ensuring the People function is commercially aligned, forward-thinking and scalable. This is a hybrid, permanent full time position where you will be required to work in the office 3 days per week and your commuting distance to the office located in Andover, Hampshire should be no more than 30 minutes.
MAIN ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the People strategy ensuring it supports business growth, culture and performance.
- Shape and consult with SLT on the hiring and changes required to deliver to plan.
- Lead the design and evolution of our Employee Value Proposition to attract and retain top talent.
- Own our HR policies and procedures, ensuring our employee handbook, people policies, and procedural overviews remain best-in-class, legally compliant, and reflective of our unique company culture.
- Oversee all performance management & exit processes.
- Oversee onboarding success.
- Own all employee development plans and administrate changes in contracts and terms.
- Partner with senior managers to align people priorities with commercial objectives and future growth plans.
- Ensure all employees have clear measurable objectives and assessment processes delivered to standards.
- Embed meaningful performance and feedback frameworks that drive accountability and development.
- Oversee cross-border HR governance, policies and compliance.
- Oversee communications framework to encourage cross dept collaboration and optimal performance for individuals and project teams.
- Organise initiatives, events, and programs that promote collaboration and morale.
- Own employee feedback and concerns, ensuring timely resolution.
- Track and analyse employee satisfaction metrics (e.g., surveys, retention rates).
- Provide monthly reports and recommendations to the SLT team.
KEY EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
- Qualified CIPD Level 7 with at least 5 years progressive experience across all aspects of the HR function.
- Proven experience designing and embedding People strategies within a growing business.
- Demonstrated experience working within the UK HR framework, with a solid understanding of UK employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Commercially astute, pragmatic and solutions-focused.
