ABOUT HARP-E

Harp-E is redefining what the harp can be. It is the first portable, accessibly-priced electric harp with stage-quality sound. Based in the creative heart of East London, Harp-E is on a mission to bring string instruments into the 21st century. Having established a global presence, we are now pushing the boundaries of musical innovation to create instruments that are portable, contemporary, and built for the next generation of performers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity to be a core part of a team at the cutting edge of musical innovation. You will use your exceptional visual storytelling and strategic skills to elevate our digital presence on a global scale. As Social Media & Marketing Manager, you will be the voice of Harp-E, responsible for communicating our vision across all channels. You’ll bridge the gap between high-level brand strategy and hands-on content creation, speaking the authentic language of a new generation of musicians. This is a part-time freelance role (1-2 days per week to start with) ideally based in Dalston, London. Compensation: Day rate depending on experience.

YOU

  • Are a musical storyteller: You have a deep understanding of musical instruments (ideally you play a string instrument, even better if you’re a harpist!) and understand the technical and emotional appeal of a 21st-century harp.
  • Are a content native: You have a proven track record of producing high-quality short-form video (Reels/TikTok) that captures the energy of a new-gen instrument.
  • Balance art with data: You are as comfortable in Meta Ads Manager and Shopify as you are behind a camera lens.
  • Thrive on innovation: You are excited by the prospect of working with a small team that is disrupting a traditional industry.
  • Are an experienced communicator: You have 3+ years of experience in social media marketing and are ready to take ownership in a fast-moving environment.
  • Value flexibility: You enjoy an easy-going team culture and the freedom of fully flexible working hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Global Brand Storytelling: Producing high-quality video and photo content that showcases the instrument.
  • Social Media & Community Management: Acting as the brand guardian across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook—overseeing scheduling, caption writing, and active global engagement.
  • E-commerce & Web: Maintaining our Shopify storefront to ensure product listings are optimised and reflect our cutting-edge design.
  • Paid Social & Performance: Creating and managing performance-driven ad campaigns (Meta/TikTok) and tracking key metrics to drive international growth.
  • Campaign Strategy: Planning and executing launches for new releases, global events, and brand collaborations.

PERKS

  • Prime location: Our studio is located in Dalston, the creative heart of London.
  • Culture: We are a pet-friendly studio with an easy-going, supportive small team.
  • Flexibility: We offer full flexibility regarding your working hours to suit your creative flow.

TO APPLY

Send your application to [email] with the subject line “[Your Name] / Social Media & Marketing Manager application” and:

  • Tell us about yourself: Why does our mission resonate with you?
  • Show us your work: Attach your CV and a link to your portfolio or social accounts you’ve managed.
