We are seeking an experienced Founding Headteacher to lead a new British international nursery opening in Cairo in September 2026. The school will offer a high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) programme for children aged 25, with a strong emphasis on child-centred learning, creativity, and pastoral care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic and operational set-up of the nursery
- Recruit, manage, and support a team of Early Years teachers and assistants
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning in line with EYFS
- Build strong relationships with parents and the wider community
- Establish a positive, safe, and nurturing environment for young learners
Requirements
- Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) with QTS
- Significant leadership experience in Early Years education (preferably in British or international schools)
- Strong understanding of EYFS and best practice in early childhood education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead, inspire, and build a team
