Teaching Assistant (Experienced)

Hours: 29.15 hpw /38 weeks per year + HOLS (08.30am - 15.20pm)

Contract: Permanent

Harold Wood Primary School are looking to appoint an experienced Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children including thosewho have a range of special educational needs.

The role involves supporting the children’s learning within the classroom as well as taking groups for interventions such as phonics.

Whilst you will be expected to work under the direction of the class teacher, you will also have the opportunity to use your own initiative, organise tasks and adapt activities; creating simple resources to support the pupils' work as appropriate.

We are looking for a person who is calm, kind, patient, understanding and who:

• is cheerful, positive and enthusiastic about supporting children of all abilities
• is an effective communicator with pupils and staff
• is able to build and maintain effective relationships
• is reliable, responsible andcommitted to working as part of a team
