Harniss Building Services Solutions are looking for a motivated CAD engineer to support the design and analysis of buildings with the role offering a clear development pathway to becoming a Building Physicist. Harniss have extensive experience in low-carbon engineering solutions and renewable technologies, an increasingly important part of our work as the industry moves towards greater sustainability and reduced environmental impact and due to continued growth looking to expand the team.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of building models and data for building performance analysis (e.g. thermal, regulated energy, operational energy, embodied carbon)
- Collaborate with engineers and design team to ensure designs meet performance and statutory requirements
- Maintain drawing standards, templates and document control
- Contribute to design solutions through ongoing training and mentorship
- Produce reports to clearly communicate outcomes of building analysis.
Requirements
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD / REVIT)
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Interest in sustainable design, energy performance and environmental engineering
- Basic understanding of mechanical building services systems (desirable)
- Willingness to learn and develop skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
