Vice President, Technology Transformation (Data)
Hybrid (London)
Up to £140,000 + Discretionary Bonus
About the Role
We’re looking for a Vice President of Technology Transformation (Data) to lead data strategy, diligence, and execution across a leading private equity fund and its portfolio companies.
This is a rare opportunity for a commercially minded data leader with deep experience in data strategy, transformation, and financial services, ideally within private equity or consulting. You’ll drive data-led value creation initiatives across multiple businesses, shaping how data is leveraged to unlock growth, efficiency, and innovation.
What You’ll Do
- Lead data diligence for new investments, identifying value creation opportunities and assessing data maturity.
- Design and execute data strategies across the portfolio, driving improvements in data infrastructure, quality, and insight generation.
- Conduct data maturity assessments and build strategic roadmaps for enhanced data capabilities.
- Track and support transformation initiatives, ensuring portfolio companies deliver measurable outcomes from data-driven initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders across portfolio companies to embed best practices in data governance, analytics, and cloud-based architectures.
- Drive operational excellence, enabling portfolio companies to use data as a catalyst for innovation and long-term growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record in data strategy, transformation, or advisory roles, ideally within private equity, or top-tier consulting with FS clients.
- Deep understanding of financial services data ecosystems, including regulatory, operational, and technical aspects.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing cloud-based data architectures (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear business impact.
- Working knowledge of machine learning and advanced analytics (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with C-suite executives and senior investors.
- Strong knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (GDPR, CCPA).
- Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
