We’re supporting a large scale, consumer facing technology business on the hire of a Technical Programme Manager to join their Transformation and Delivery function on a 12 month contract. This role sits at the centre of business wide technical change, owning complex, cross functional programmes that cut across systems, data platforms, engineering and tooling. The business operates at significant scale and complexity, with transformation initiatives becoming increasingly critical to how it delivers growth, governance and operational efficiency.
This role works closely with senior leaders across the organisation, including C suite and VP level stakeholders, translating complex technical programmes into clear strategic narratives. This is not a delivery only role. You’ll be expected to operate in ambiguous problem spaces, bring structure where there is uncertainty, and drive momentum across initiatives that don’t naturally sit within a single function.
The role includes:
- Owning end to end delivery of complex, cross functional technical programmes
- Acting as a connector across data, engineering, finance, product, IT and security
- Structuring ambiguous problem areas into clear workstreams, priorities and outcomes
- Driving pace and progress while balancing risk and trade offs
- Translating technical detail into clear, senior level updates for exec stakeholders
- Managing dependencies, risks and competing priorities across fast moving initiatives
- Proactively identifying opportunities for transformation and improvement
Key initiatives include:
- Systems portfolio management and governance across a complex technology estate
- AI tooling and enablement, including evaluation, procurement and rollout
- Time critical data platform ingestion migrations with significant dependencies
- Platform scaling and enablement to support high volume consumer transactions
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience as a Technical Programme or Project Manager in a tech led environment
- Strong background working with data platforms, software systems or technical infrastructure
- Comfortable operating at speed in complex organisations
- Able to absorb technical detail quickly without needing to be the subject matter expert
- Confident influencing senior stakeholders and driving alignment without authority
- Pragmatic mindset, prioritising outcomes over perfection
- Curious about AI and emerging technologies
- Experience from large scale technology businesses is strongly preferred.
Additional details:
- 12 month contract
- £90,000 to £95,000 depending on experience
- No notice period preferred, up to 1 month considered
- Hybrid working, 3 days per week in the London office
- Excellent benefits package included, bonus applicable only if role converts to permanent
