Software Engineering Manager

A fast-moving AI-driven company is looking for an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead their Science Platform team.

Remote first: quarterly meetings

Salary: Up to £110,000

The Role

This is a hands-on engineering leadership position – ideal for a senior technical leader who thrives on close collaboration with Data Scientists.

Responsibilities

• Leading a small team responsible for infrastructure and automation
• Working directly with Data Scientists
• Driving improvements in Python-based services, Kubernetes deployments, and GCP architecture
• Providing light-touch line management / technical leadership

Ideal Background:

• Recent hands-on experience with Python, Kubernetes, and GCP
• Strong collaboration with DS/ML teams and understanding of predictive models
• Proven leadership in small, high-performing engineering teams
• Comfortable leading infrastructure initiatives and scaling systems
