As part of a dynamic, independent division, this role will play a pivotal part in powering the predictive engine behind smarter pricing decisions.
THE ROLE
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a small, high-performing team focused on building the infrastructure that powers core AI and ML capabilities. Your work will directly enable smarter forecasting and real-time pricing for hotel partners around the world.
Specifically, you can expect to be involved in the following:
- Leading the design and maintenance of scalable infrastructure (Kubernetes, GCP) for ML-powered pricing systems
- Collaborating closely with Data Science teams to understand, support, and productionize predictive models
- Contributing hands-on to Python-based codebases, especially within data science contexts
- Providing light-touch line management to a capable and largely autonomous team
- Driving technical excellence and being the go-to technical leader within the Science Platform team
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
The successful Software Engineering Manager will have the following skills and experience:
- Strong recent experience with Kubernetes, auto-scaling systems, and infrastructure on GCP
- Proficiency in Python, particularly in data science and ML-driven environments
- Experience working closely with Data Science teams and understanding algorithmic workflows
- Proven ability to lead and inspire engineers through technical depth and guidance
- Prior management experience
- Comfortable being hands-on while balancing strategic leadership
