An award-winning insights agency is looking for a freelance Social Listening Consultant to support a strategic project for a leading consumer health brand in the Chinese market. This role requires fluency in Mandarin and hands-on experience with Brandwatch and Keyword.io to deliver high-impact insights.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Understand the competitive landscape: Analyse consumer perceptions of competing products, uncover unmet needs, and monitor market dynamics.
  • Deep dive into consumer needs and benefits: Identify what drives consumer interest, engagement, and loyalty within the health space.
  • Explore usage patterns, daily routines, and purchase drivers through online conversation analysis.
  • Analyse sentiment and awareness: Measure how the brand and its competitors are discussed and perceived across key platforms.
  • Work with the wider insights team to develop strategic recommendations based on findings—helping shape brand, product, and communication strategies.

Skills & Experience:

  • Fluent in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) – essential.
  • Proven experience using Brandwatch and Keyword.io in an agency or brand-side environment.
  • Experience in social listening, digital research, or consumer insights, ideally in the healthcare or FMCG sectors for the Chinese market.
  • Able to turn unstructured data into actionable insights and clear narratives.
  • Detail-oriented and culturally attuned to nuances in Chinese online conversations.
