- Join Harnham’s Learning & Development Team
Harnham is a specialist recruitment business focused on Data, Analytics and Technology, with teams across the UK, Europe and the US.
The development of our people is central to our success.
Our Learning & Development team supports consultants from their first day in recruitment through to senior and leadership positions, combining structured training with practical, desk-based coaching.
We are now looking for a Learning & Development Consultant to join our UK training team and support the continued development of our recruitment consultants.
The Role
A key focus of the position will be delivering and developing Harnham’s UK New Starter Academy.
You will help new consultants understand the full recruitment lifecycle, build their commercial skills and apply their learning successfully once they join their teams.
Alongside the Academy, you will provide ongoing coaching and development to consultants across the business.
This will include call listening, live shadowing, desk coaching, workshops and targeted development sessions.
You will work closely with the wider training team, managers and directors to identify development needs, monitor progress and ensure training has a practical impact on performance.
- What You’ll Be Doing
- Delivering and co-facilitating the UK New Starter Academy.
- Training consultants across candidate management, business development, client development, negotiation and closing.
- Conducting knowledge checks, assessments and progress reviews.
- Supporting new starters as they transition from the Academy onto their recruitment desks.
- Delivering one-to-one and group coaching to consultants.
- Conducting call listening, live shadowing and desk-based coaching.
- Providing clear, constructive and practical feedback.
- Identifying development needs and delivering targeted training sessions.
- Supporting consultants beyond the Academy as they progress through the business.
- Contributing to the continued development of training content, materials and structured career pathways.
- Working with managers and directors to review progress and identify capability gaps.
- Who We’re Looking For
We are open to hearing from candidates with experience delivering training or coaching within a recruitment business, as well as successful agency recruiters looking to transition into a dedicated Learning & Development career.
You may already be working in recruitment training, coaching or performance development.
Alternatively, you may be an experienced 360 Recruitment Consultant who has supported new starters, mentored colleagues, delivered workshops or developed a genuine interest in coaching others.
You will need
- Strong 360 agency recruitment experience.
- A proven understanding of business development and client acquisition.
- Experience across the full recruitment lifecycle.
- Experience coaching, mentoring or developing others.
- Confidence delivering information to individuals and groups.
- The ability to listen to recruitment calls and provide credible, practical feedback.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A genuine interest in developing people and improving performance.
Previous experience in a formal recruitment training or Learning & Development role would be beneficial but is not essential.
- What You’ll Get
- A structured Learning & Development career within an international recruitment business.
- The opportunity to shape the development of consultants across different career levels.
- Ongoing training and professional development.
- A monthly wellbeing allowance.
- Access to our Employee Assistance Programme.
- A cycle-to-work scheme.
- Free snacks and drinks in the office.
- A 4pm finish every Friday.
- Regular company events and incentives.
